Quite simply, prayer is direct communication between us and God. A word, a song, a cry, a conversation. By way of relationship, we have direct access to the Creator of all things, through prayer.
James 5:16 says:
“The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”
We believe that our prayers have power. We believe that conversations with God create real change, both in and around us.

FASTING
Fasting is a spiritual discipline, modeled throughout Scripture, in which we deny our physical body of something, for a season, in order to purposefully disengage from things of the world.
Fasting is not about punishing ourselves, or because God wants us to suffer. Rather, it is put into practice so that we might, unhindered, hear from God more clearly and experience the life He has called us to more fully. As we break free from a physical restraint, we allow for spiritual restraints to also be broken.
“Is this not the fast which I choose, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free and break every yoke?” -Isaiah 58:6

Prayer GRoups
In prayer groups we create space to better understand the disciplines and practices of prayer and fasting. Learning in a small group setting creates opportunities for community, shared spiritual growth, and the building of testimonies.
