What To Expect
Relationships
We desire for each child to experience a relationship with Jesus Christ, and to form strong bonds with other children. As families commit to attending the same Worship Experience each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow!
Age Appropriateness
We teach kids about Jesus in a way that they can understand, always endeavoring to meet them where they are. Our environments and lesson materials are created based on the physical, mental and emotional needs of each child.
Safety
We know that the safety and security of every child is vital. To accommodate this, each child is given a name tag which is matched to a parent-identification number at drop-off and pick-up. All volunteers are screened with an interview and federal background check before serving within our DL Kids facilities in any capacity. In addition, there are security guards stationed outside of each children’s area at all times.
Creative Bible Teaching
The Bible is the most important and amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all kids to come to love God’s Word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.
Child Dedication
Child Dedication is for parents to present their child before God and the church, agreeing to seek His grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. Parents commit to raising their child in the faith till they understand what it means to have a personal relationship on their own.
Dedications happen quarterly throughout the year.

Water Baptism
Every child can have a personal relationship with Jesus. In DL Kids, we encourage children to make a decision to follow Christ. Children are encouraged to learn about Jesus and from Him by walking with Him every day (I Corinthians 12:13).
We advise parents to wait until their child asks to be water baptized. This indicates that they are ready to be baptized, which will be a spiritual milestone in their life. While younger children under seven can have a relationship with Jesus, they will not necessarily remember or understand the event's significance. With that, we believe in partnering with parents as we wait for baptism until they are a little older. During that time, we can walk through the bible with them and specific prayers and discussions about baptism, Jesus, their faith, and the decision they want to make.
