First Impressions Teams
Our First Impressions Team is an essential part of church life and makes Discover Life Church feel like home to every person who walks through our doors. God uses the First Impressions Team to set the stage to reach more people and change lives.
Welcome Team (Age: 12+)
This team loves people and makes them feel at home. They welcome guests at the door with a smile and help new guests navigate their first visit with us.
Parking Team (Age: 16+)
This team manages the flow of the parking lot for our Weekend Experiences and events, making parking easy and efficient for our guests.
Usher Team (Age: 16+)
This team serves people throughout the Worship Experience by assisting them to a seat, helping facilitate communion, and maintaining a distraction-free environment.
LHQ Team (Age: 12+)
This team provides hospitality to our Legends serving the Worship Experience by serving food and refreshments in Legends Headquarters (LHQ).
Safety Team (Age: 18+, Background Check)
This team ensures our DL Kids areas are secure and helps us maintain safety in all Weekend Experiences.
Set-Up/Take-Down Team (Age: 12+)
The Set-Up/Take-Down Team helps transform spaces for Worship Experiences, providing distraction-free, excellent environments where guests can experience God.
Transportation Team - Melbourne Campus (Age: 25+, Background Check)
This team drives our guests and Legends to and from our overflow parking lot.
Fast Team (Age: 12+)
The Fast Team creates an excellent, distraction-free environment by working behind-the-scenes to maintain cleanliness in every area of our church.
DL Worship & Production Teams
Our Worship and Production Team uses their creative gifts to help our guests encounter the presence of God in our Worship Experiences.
Worship Team (Age: 15+, Background Check, Music/Vocal Audition)
This team leads our guests in worship through vocals and instruments.
Photography Team (Age: 12+, Background Check)
This team helps us tell stories through photography and videography by capturing memorable moments from our Worship Experiences and events.
Production Team (Age: 12+, Background Check)
This team works behind the scenes through audio engineering, sound, lighting, and other visual elements to create an excellent Worship Experience for our guests.
Social Media Team (Age: 12+, Background Check)
This team furthers the vision of our church by promoting, engaging, and encouraging our community online throughout the week. Serve opportunities include graphic design, copywriting, and content creation.
DL Kids Teams
Our DL Kids Team helps kids develop a genuine relationship with God and grow in their relationships with others through teaching the Bible in a relevant and creative way.
Check-In Team (Age: 18+, Background Check)
This team welcomes families and facilitates check-in, ensuring children are accounted for and prepared for a fun experience in DL Kids.
Nursery/Preschool Team (Age: 18+, Background Check)
This team serves children from six weeks through kindergarten and offers them the opportunity to hear Jesus's life-giving message through Bible stories, worship, prayer, and hands-on activities.
Elementary Team (Age: 18+, Background Check)
The Elementary Team invests in the lives of children in first through fifth grade by helping them discover and develop a passion for God through Bible teaching, worship, Small Groups, prayer, and games.
JV Legends Team (Age: 12-17)
This team is a leadership development opportunity for students at least twelve years of age to assist the DL Kid's Team.
DL Kids Coach (Age: 18+, Background Check)
This team assists our DL Kids Teachers by overseeing each experience, helping with the drop off and dismissal, as well as providing support and training to new team members.
Next Steps Teams
Our Next Steps teams assist guests in helping them take their next step in their walk with Christ.
Salvation Team (Age: 18+)
This team helps new believers take their next steps in discovering the purpose God has for their lives by providing resources, answering questions, and connecting them to Grow, Fresh Start, and Small Groups.
Baptism Team (Age: 18+)
This team facilitates the Water Baptism experience for all getting baptized by checking them in, providing supplies, and offering next steps after baptism.
Prayer Team (Age: 18+)
This team provides prayer covering for all Worship Experiences, teams, ministries, and events throughout the experience.
Grow Team (Age: 18+)
This team hosts all Grow attendees and helps them learn more about our church, discover their spiritual gifts, and become a Legend.
DL Students & Young Adults Teams
These teams help middle and high school students and young adults feel welcome and known by creating environments where they connect with God, experience Him, and take their next steps.
Group Leaders (Age: 18+, Background Check)
This team hosts Small Groups during the DL Students and Young Adults gatherings, offering a place for students and young adults to find a life-giving community.
Student Prep Team (Age: 12+)
This team is responsible for setting up and taking down for our Student Experiences.
Student Worship & Production Team (Age: 15+)
This team helps our students encounter the presence of God through vocals and instruments, sound, lighting, and other visual elements.
Small Groups Team
We believe life change happens best in the context of relationships. This team helps people to find life-giving community in Small Groups.
Group Leader (Age: 18+, Background Check, Leadership Training)
Small Group Leaders facilitate groups based on topics or activities they are passionate about and help their members take the next step in their spiritual journeys.
Group Coaches (Age:18+, Background Check, Leadership Training)
Small Group Coaches support assigned Small Group leaders by covering them in prayer, developing relationships, and serving as a resource.
